The job is to support Strata Underwriting team in any way that is required in the quoting, binding & processing.

Finding solutions to issues on your own initiative or, as appropriate, seeking assistance.

Responsibilities: 

  • Processing and sending binders & invoices
  • Preparing Statement of Values (SOVs) 
  • Entering correspondence into Image Right (paperless database) 
  • Tracking & following up on endorsement requests
  • Processing quotes and Acord apps appropriately  
  • As required prepping quote cover letters & attachments
  • Liaising with your broker over urgent items, keeping follow-ups & reminders for yourself but also for your broker
  • Establishing priorities - confirming those priorities with your broker & then following-up with those priorities
  • Keeping track of Notice of Non-Renewals (making sure the broker knows before the agent/insured) and maintaining renewal list (the broker should have the list prior to 120 days)
  • Having a working knowledge of key accounts
  • Property & Casualty insurance and account management experience a plus

Requirements: 

  • 1-3 years’ experience in E&S binding, production underwriting, wholesale brokerage or affiliated company/job
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented, well-organized and have time management skills
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

A good, positive, energetic, attitude towards customers, markets & fellow employees
