Position Overview:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Client Business Intelligence team, you'll build products that enable our customers to get insights into their travel data in a timely manner. You are responsible for high-level design, with experience in Spring Boot, React and distributed systems. In this critical role, you will represent our clients in cross-team solution design discussions on future direction and help shape the future of client BI in business travel.

What You’ll do on a Typical Day :-

  • Analyze requirements and collaborate with Product and Engineering on decisions.
  • Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs.
  • Lead end-to-end product life cycle for mid to large-size projects: Design, development, testing, deployment, and provide operational excellence and support.
  • Take ownership of reusable components and drive from design through implementation to release.
  • Write well-designed, efficient, and maintainable code, and review, test, and debug team members’ code.
  • Find creative, tractable new ways to improve coding standards across the team and broader org.
  • Advocate for best practices, excellent usability, and exceptional quality.
  • Help other developers take advantage of new technologies.
  • Work closely with geographically distributed teams and collaborate with cross team leads to define, implement, and consume services/components/modules.
  • Contribute to advancing the team's design methodology and quality programming practices and mentor junior team members to adopt best practices.
  • Anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks, before they occur, and present technical issues and their impact on leadership
  • Contribute to the production duties for the services owned by your team: Monitoring, Release Management, On Call.

What We’re looking for :-

  • B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree with at least 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, DesignPatterns, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
  • Experience in full stack software development including Java and RESTful.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases and cloud computing concepts.
  • Experience in developing and deploying in AWS cloud-based platforms. Hands on experience on EKS, Lambdas, DynamoDB,S3.
  • Experience in UX technologies and frameworks like JavaScript, React,and HTML5. 
  • Strong experience with Java, XML, JSON, Junit.
  • Sound understanding of client-side optimization standard methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with maintaining cross-browser compatibility and debugging.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self -starter, who can quickly understand the eco system with little ramp up & kick start development.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, agile/SCRUM work environment.
  • Relevant industry experience developing in Java and its associated technology stacks. Experience building web services with these platforms desired.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with data is a plus since the team's primary charter is to present our clients' travel data to them in an insightful manner, and you will use analysis of the data to drive solution design.
