We have a vision of bringing teams together through the power of data.

Productiv started with a vision to transform the way enterprises manage and optimize their software portfolios. With a focus on driving efficiency and transparency in IT, Procurement, and Finance departments, we're revolutionizing SaaS management. At Productiv, we believe in enabling companies to make data-driven decisions that propel growth and foster innovation.

What you’ll do:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines that power our analytics and business operations. You will play a key role in ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability while working closely with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business needs. If you are passionate about solving complex data challenges, driving efficiency, and mentoring others, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to process large volumes of data within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure data integrity and quality across all data pipelines through best practices in validation, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Design and optimize data models and storage solutions for long-term scalability, cost efficiency, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to ensure data solutions align with business needs and technical goals.
  • Continuously improve data engineering processes and standards, identifying gaps and implementing best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues, anticipating potential failure points and mitigating risks.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to peers and junior team members, fostering alignment and collaboration within the team.

Your Experience:

Core Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT data pipelines using modern data stack technologies (e.g., Redshift, Athena, Presto, DynamoDB).
  • Expertise in data modeling and designing scalable storage solutions for analytics and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and Javascript
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting for data systems to ensure proactive issue resolution.
  • Experience with data migration to-and-from S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, and Athena.

Problem Solving & Engineering Excellence

  • Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues in data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Experience automating and streamlining data workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Strong grasp of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and documentation.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, working closely with product, engineering, and business teams.
  • Strong communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Not everyone will match the above qualifications 100%. If your experiences don’t perfectly align, but you think you’d be a great addition to our team, we’d still love to hear from you. Productiv is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status.

We are a distributed team with offices in Bellevue, WA, Palo Alto, CA, and New York City. Teammates have the option to work remotely from anywhere in the US or from one of our offices.

Benefits:
