The Position:
The P2C Project Coordinator is a part-time grant-funded position through the Indiana Latino Institute Pathway to Careers (ILI P2C) grant. The coordinator will report to the Director of Diversity, Equity & Belonging, and work in the Center for Intercultural Excellence alongside students focused on Latino/x retention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, and manages new initiatives focused on the retention of P2C scholars (per the grant).
  • Oversee the site placement of the ILI P2C Scholars in various offices across campus and ensure the students are working on projects that are aligned with the grant.
  • Train and prep students for work assignments
  • Maintain student grades, attendance and any other data needed for the grant
  • Attend meetings with the Indiana Latino Institute as necessary
  • Maintain records and data associated with the grant for reporting purposes.
  • Work collaboratively across various departments on campus
  • Assist in coordinating the Somos Ivy Tech Latino/x recruitment day

Position Requirements:

  • Experience with project management and assessment.
  • Professional work experience in institutions of higher education or related fields
  • Experience related to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Experience working with diverse populations, especially the Latino/x community.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills including a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving, and a desire to identify and support student success. 
  • Excellent organizational, time-management skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canvas, Zoom)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience in working with non-profits or community colleges
  • Multilingual/Spanish speaking preferred

Starting Salary Range: $20.00/hourly
