We’re looking for a Commodity Manager to join the Procurement team at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

To support our world class cleanroom and manufacturing facilities in  Oxfordshire, UK and Phoenix, AZ, you will: 

  • Manage the sourcing process of manufacturing, assembly and test Capital Equipment, required to fulfil our expansion and technology development programs for our  advanced optical Waveguide and MicroDisplay product lines in both the UK and USA.

  • Develop Commodity Strategy and Standardization in collaboration with the Manufacturing and Engineering organizations.

  • Lead the CapEx Board, ensuring capital projects are reported upon in a timely manner against the program deliverables, highlighting any risk to achieving milestones and schedules for the realization of each capital equipment item.  

  • Ensure Strategy and Standardization for responsible commodity is executed to plan and manage deviations through clear communication and management review.

  • Execute and Drive price benchmarking and develop Preferred Pricing and Cost Roadmap for standard and repeat equipment orders.

  • Drive Lead Time and Service/Support Improvements from Commodity Suppliers to assist business needs.

  • Manage the supplier selection and negotiation process, coordinating the relevant cross functional team(s) and ensuring best value from the supply base.

  • Ensure, following contract award, that appropriate supplier relationship and performance management processes are deployed to effectively manage contract adherence & performance.

  • Manage the post acquisition process to deliver servicing and maintenance to our equipment in our fabs Globally.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Able to prioritise duties and work well on your own

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail

  • Background working with both internal and external partner

  • Proficient negotiator with proven abilities in influencing people at all levels in the organisation.

  • Strong ability to explain benefits to stakeholders, to gain acceptance of any change by giving relevant information, analyses, and making sound and confident recommendations

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Preferably Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience working in operations in a Manufacturing environment, with a preference for in house manufacturing experience.
