The Global Markets In-Business Risk (IBR) is a Front Office 1st Line of Defense team responsible for market risk across asset classes within Citi’s Global Markets division. The team is missioned to establish a holistic understanding of market risk and capital of the aggregated trading portfolio, as well as to optimize business’s return on capital. Global Markets IBR covers all trading businesses globally such as Rates and Currencies, Global Spread Products, Commodities, and Global Equities. This role will focus on the implementation of FRTB (Fundamental Review of the Trading Book) from within the business, collaborating across 1st and 2nd line to ensure the implementation is commercial, sustainable and in line with regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understand, support and drive the implementation of FRTB at Citi across asset classes, supporting Markets Treasury business in particular, assuring collaboration and coherence in the implementation approach
  • Support IBR team in identifying critical gaps, executing gap closure in line with regulatory commitments
  • Developing data analytics tool by working with technology, quants and asset class IBR team to help efficiency for 1st risk management.
  • Hands-on data analysis and explain FRTB and other risk metrics drivers.

Qualifications:

  • Required experience in (and understanding of) trading/market risks, or previous experience in a quantitative or risk function
  • Experience in technology/Data Roles in Financial services
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and risk metrics
  • Strong in Python and SQL programming skills
  • Experience with Big data Apache Hadoop
  • Experience with Tableau/PowerBI or other dashboard tools
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills by working with Technology
  • Thorough financial acumen and P&L management experience
  • Excellent communication, motivational, interpersonal skills and relationship management skills. Ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with senior members of an organization
  • Intellectual curiosity, analytical and conceptual thinker.  Proactively seeks and develops new opportunities
  • Self-aware with ability to adapt to various situations, rapidly assimilate and report on complex information while creating a future vision
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.  Master’s degree preferred
