In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Being tertiary qualified in a relevant field (Food & or Dairy Technology)
Achieving and surpassing sales targets while developing comprehensive strategic business plans in collaboration with the Head of Sales to drive growth and success.
Negotiating and preparing complex contracts with precision, ensuring all terms are favourable and align with the company’s objectives.
Building and maintaining strong senior-level customer relationships, fostering trust and long-term partnerships that benefit both the customers and the company.
Utilizing a CRM Salesforce to track and manage customer interactions effectively, ensuring all data is up-to-date and leveraging insights to improve customer engagement.
Identifying new opportunities and emerging market segments, staying ahead of industry trends and positioning the company to capitalize on new business prospects.
To succeed you must hold:
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Food & or Dairy Technology)
Prior experience in Senior account management will be an advantage.
Have strong analytical skills.
Have demonstrated example of the ability to strongly negotiate with buyers to create a win -win outcome for both businesses.
Possess an in-depth understanding and experience in dairy manufacture in the fields of Cheese production or Fermented milk production.
Possess good negotiation and follow-up skills.
Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
Must have technical skills to know the right questions to ask of customers.
Must be a self-starter with drive and initiative and work with little supervision.
Must have a passion for the food industry.
These characteristics are normally acquired through a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, food technology or chemistry preferred, and a minimum of five years of sales experience
