Financial Close Analyst

Description -

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular system and process analysis and audits to identify and resolve inefficiencies, data discrepancies, and bottlenecks in processes.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to address and resolve moderately complex month end close issues, providing effective and timely solutions.
  • Monitor critical month-end close processes and jobs, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of essential financial operations, including revaluation, allocations, consolidations, and management reporting.
  • Research emerging trends and solutions to generate innovative ideas for system and process enhancements.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance financial systems and processes, serving as a key resource in related projects and team initiatives to improve the month end close process.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures, to support end-user training.
  • Conduct research and data analysis, contributing to decision-making with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Work independently on moderately scoped problems, exercising professional judgment and adhering to AFM policies, SOX, and Internal control procedures.

Education & Experience:

  • A four-year or graduate degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically requires 4-6 years of experience in finance operations or an advanced degree with relevant skills.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including automation, business analysis, and SAP applications.
  • Proficiency in business systems analysis, data analysis, process improvement, and project management.
  • Effective communication, results orientation, learning agility, and customer-centric approach.
