The Location: Gurgaon, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad

The Team: The Reference Data- Hierarchy Management Team strategizes, integrates, and provides Data Solutions and Products to a portfolio of clients. These data solutions help our clients understand the global footprint of a company and in turn aids them in their due diligence, risk assessment, compliance, supply chain, etc. In other words, It gives our clients perspective on what investment opportunities to pursue and who to work with based on a holistic bigger picture rather than just a snapshot.

The Team provides structural and content support for creation of products like GICRS ™, BECRS ™, Xpressfeed™, S&P Capital IQ Pro and many other products and offerings.

The Role: Data Steward, Data Stewardship & Management in Hierarchy management is a highly motivated individual with the ability to drive Data Strategy Initiatives through software development life-cycle, ensuring technical solutions are sound and aligned to data and product requirements keeping broader goals in mind. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of content projects through all stages of the process. The right candidate should be able to anticipate and resolve any problems, bottlenecks, or conflicts. The candidate is a sound communicator who can link content operations, technology, business units, leadership to ensure high levels of quality and timelines of projects' implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Strategy Roadmap –Own the Data Strategy roadmap. Liaison with Cross Functional Teams (Product/Commercial/Operations) to identify client requirements and create a 6-12 -month vision basis client data, competitive landscape and marketplace. Develop program vision and timelines, gain buy-in for that vision across senior leadership.
  • Lead one or more technology team as a Product Owner – Review or define user stories and requirements within our SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Ensure that each feature is fully tested and meets the expectations of our users and clients
  • Ability to analyze vendor data and create an ingestion strategy.
  • Ability to undertake groundwork analysis and create business requirements for key strategic initiatives.
  • Brainstorm and implement ideas on minimizing operative ineffectiveness tactically and strategically.
  • Identify automation opportunities using Python, Machine Learning or other data-methodologies.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of the high-scale complex data-driven projects (requirements gathering and consultation, groundwork & analysis, sizing, collaboration with Technology and Product teams on implementation)
  • Convert raw complex data into easy-to-understand information through data visualization.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in Data Strategy, management & governance, preferably in a financial market data intensive Industry.
  • Sound knowledge about backend infrastructure (tables/pipelines/loaders, etc.)
  • Hands on experience in writing and developing SQL Queries.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks, snowflake, API, Microservices is desirable
  • Candidate having concepts of Data Science and knowledge on Python is desirable
  • Experience in Data Mining, Analysis and Visualization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across segments and cultures
  • Effective and Structured Communication skills.
