Your key responsibilities
Partnerships Strategy
Identify and research potential merchant partners, opportunities, and suppliers.
Support and develop the value proposition to define our right to win in prioritised merchant categories.
Develop pitch materials and manage the full sales cycle to promote our digital wallet and payment solutions with online merchants
Create a full BD programme in partnership with the chosen PG / PSPs and align on merchant targets / pipeline.
Partner Development
Negotiate new business agreements to secure wallet and payment partners, enhancing functionality and driving revenue and engagement.
Nurture and cultivate relationships with existing portfolio accounts, tracking and optimising performance while managing partner roadmaps and future propositions.
Internal stakeholder management
Establish and nurture relationships with key collaborators in priority markets & HQ.
Create, monitor and enable a plan to win across our priority markets including support on ad-hoc tactical requests e.g. joint pitches, target lists & contact strategy
Help prepare materials and enable market teams to deliver value proposition, features, and market-specific considerations to win in chosen merchant verticals
Provide guidance to 10 European Subsidiaries on prioritisation and pitch to merchants to actively manage European BD pipeline
Drive Innovation
Identify new market opportunities and growth sectors within the digital wallet and payment programs.
Champion and advocate for new functionality and partnerships to support product and proposition development.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Extensive industry experience; work experience with PGs & Networks will be a huge plus
Proven track record in handling Payment Gateway (PG) relationships, demonstrating the ability to negotiate and secure partnerships for digital wallet integration.
Track record of successfully shepherding multiple partners through an end-to-end partner journey starting with new partner acquisition all the way to long term revenue growth
Deep understanding of the online checkout landscape, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities for enhancing payment methods.
Experience in using Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to optimise checkout processes and drive conversion rates.
Demonstrated commercial and contractual competence with a track record of delivering from concept to release.
Ability to build strong and effective relationships to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple, often conflicting demands, with flexibility and adaptability.
Self-motivated and able to work to define priorities across a complex, global organisation, as well as close knowledge gaps quickly.
Passion for Samsung products, content, and services.

Be the champion for eCommerce growth on Samsung Pay and provide deep industry knowledge & expertise, resulting in tangible recommendations for markets to unlock significant growth
Ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities to integrate digital wallet solutions seamlessly into various online merchant checkout experiences, tailoring approach according to merchant & market maturity
Strong grasp of payment industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements and being able to articulate the impact & actions needed by markets & other stakeholders ensuring smooth implementation and operation of digital wallet solutions
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategies to increase adoption of digital wallet payments among online merchants, driving growth in transaction volume and market share.
Proficiency in analysing data and metrics related to checkout performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing pivotal initiatives to enhance user experience and drive revenue growth.
