Overview:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Process more complex requests, including include VOD, DOD, SSA/SSI, Medicaid and source requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support all record-related requests from previous acquisitions.
• Serve as subject matter expert within the department and provide assistance to others as needed.
• Resolve moderate problems independently following established procedures; escalate complex problems to more experienced personnel.
• Recommend procedural changes within the area and assist with revisions for those approved.
• Assist with more complex training within the department.
• Provide support to management as required by absence.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Education and Experience Required:

High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 2 years’ work experience

Strong data entry skills

Strong personal computer skills

Education and Experience Preferred:

Some post high school education

Minimum of 3 years banking experience within an operations unit or the department

Prior experience with pertinent spreadsheet software

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $18.68 - $31.14 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
