HP is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations for the Hybrid Operations Supply Chain team.  In this role, you will work side by side with the leadership team to drive an effective operating cadence across the organization including strategic alignment and direction of the business. Additionally, the Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations will lead both ad hoc and strategic projects on an as-needed basis – anything that is needed to keep the organization running smoothly and to ensure the team is working towards the same objectives/outcomes. Specifically, we are looking for a strong leader that can manage/direct while proactively building program management and executional capability in others. Within the Supply Chain Organization, the Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations reports to the Hybrid Operations leader and is responsible for the planning and coordination of all supply chain strategy, programs and activities globally. The position organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the organization to facilitate efficient decision making.  The leader and their team will enable the strategy to simplify tools, re-engineer processes, provide user support and ensure process compliance in support of all markets, business units, and customer segments/RTMs.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Hybrid Operations leader with building and developing high-impact, cross-functional mechanisms (KPI/instrumentation, forums/reviews and communications) to ensure the effective management of suppliers globally while optimizing business results.
  • Helps manages OPEX budget, ensuring proper planning and forecast; identifies and drives efficiencies.
  • Applies industry and subject matter expertise to solve a variety of highly complex supply chain issues.
  • Actively partners with and influences internal and external stakeholders and/or suppliers at the executive level on a regular basis to maintain successful operations while addressing any roadblocks or challenges.
  • Recommends metrics to be tracked for supply chain programs and projects, and monitors and manages key performance indicators for delivery, cost, and quality.
  • Responsible for people, talent and performance management, organization design, and succession planning, ensuring that the appropriate tools and processes are in place to support the team.
  • Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
  • Stays up to date with current industry and market trends, competitors, growth opportunities, and internal performance to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborates with the executive leadership to refine the organization's supply chain strategic goals and objectives and leads the development and implementation of plans that align with the company's mission and vision.

Strategic Process Standardization and Convergence: Drive the unification of business processes across HP's eight markets. This involves analyzing existing processes, identifying best practices, and developing a roadmap for standardizing processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Process Re-engineering and Simplification: Lead initiatives to streamline and optimize business processes. This includes simplifying complex workflows, removing redundancies, and introducing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

Technology Integration and Tool Simplification: Oversee the integration of technology in business processes. This involves working closely with the IT department to simplify tools, automate workflows, and leverage data analytics to make informed decisions.

Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing team dedicated to process management. This includes hiring, training, and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

User Support and Training: Ensure that all users across the organization are well-supported and trained in new processes and systems. Develop comprehensive training programs and support mechanisms to facilitate smooth transitions.

Compliance and Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce process compliance standards to maintain quality and consistency. Regularly review and audit processes to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Act as the primary liaison between various stakeholders, including senior management, regional leaders, and functional teams. Ensure clear communication and alignment of process management goals and initiatives across the organization.

Education & Experience Required
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Minimum 07-10 years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.

• 03-to-05-year experience in operations consulting.
