This is a Fixed Term contract for 6-9 months.

This role partners with sales and network leaders across New Zealand to drive business performance through strategic pricing initiatives. Using a strong commercial mindset and data-driven insights, the role provides pricing analysis, delivers recommendations, and influences key business decisions. By combining strategic thinking with analytical expertise and effective stakeholder engagement, the role supports improved commercial outcomes.

What kind of work may be involved?

  • Partner with leadership, sales, operational, and finance teams to deliver P&L performance across New Zealand operations.
  • Design and implement pricing initiatives, reporting suites, and automated price health metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Enhance systems and processes (e.g., Power BI, TM1) to ensure accurate, efficient, and seamless reporting.
  • Provide pricing recommendations based on market trends, cost movements, and competitive dynamics, aligning closely with procurement and category teams.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve margin, reduce cost-to-serve, and grow revenue through dashboards and commercial performance metrics.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, sales capability development, and branch performance reviews to strengthen pricing discipline and financial outcomes.

Ideal skills & experience:

  • Advanced IT capability including MS Office, Power BI (DAX/M), relational databases/SQL, programming (e.g., Python), and ERP/HRIS systems such as Pronto and Workday.
  • Strong commercial and analytical background, with experience handling complex, high-volume data and pricing optimisation.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into clear, visual reporting for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated impact in performance improvement, process optimisation, and commercial decision support.
  • Professional qualification (CA/CPA/CIMA) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work independently or under pressure.
