Biogen’s Health Equity & Clinical Innovation team is seeking a temporary intern to support the integration of health equity into core medical affairs operating processes and capabilities. This role will focus on assessing if/how equity considerations are currently applied and where they are missing or inconsistently addressed across medical affairs teams, strategy, evidence generation, scientific education, and engagements.
In addition to process assessment, the intern will help translate health equity principles into practical medical affairs education resources that can be used by disease teams. The role is designed to generate scalable, repeatable impact by embedding equity into how medical affairs works—not as a standalone initiative, but as a core capability.
This role will help us design and integrate community education as a core component of our Health Equity & Clinical Innovation team's operating model, reflecting how people increasingly access health information, build trust, and develop disease understanding outside traditional clinical settings.
This internship is ideal for strategic, self-starter candidates interested in medical affairs operations, evidence strategy, health equity, public health, clinical development or healthcare systems design, and who enjoy structured, analytical work with tangible organizational outcomes.
