Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, in our Darien WI facility, you will direct plant personnel and provide direction in your operations area to produce the best quality product possible, at the least cost standards. You will coordinate the availability of raw materials; ensure the functioning of production machinery is adequate to meet production demands. You will schedule necessary personnel to meet all production demands. You will partner with HR for personnel issues, including interviews, hiring, evaluations, corrective counseling, and further training.

Position Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for food safety and quality.
  • You will oversee our production line to ensure product is produced according to Company specifications and meet production, usage, and labor goals.
  • You will assure our work force is trained in job requirements.
  • You will monitor ingredient usage to meet our standards while maintaining quality goals.
  • You will promote continuous improvement in our production process to improve safety, cost effectiveness, and product quality.
  • You will ensure safety awareness and training is provided by supervisors.
  • You will present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • You need to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • You will work with a variety variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • You will interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Position Qualifications - you have:

  • B. S. degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biology, Industrial Management, or related field from a four-year college or university;
  • Four to six years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the food industry;

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. You are frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to handle, touch and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
