The Credit Initiation Sr Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to assess the ability of individuals, companies and institutions to meet the demands of loans, agreements and extended obligations in coordination with the Operations - Services team.The overall objective of this role is to ensure financial threats to the company are minimized by determining the terms or level of credit that can be granted without undue risk.

Responsibilities:

• Manage one or more large credit initiation units supporting multiple products
• Assist in developing credit initiation strategies to increase client response efficiency
• Evaluate approval strategies in coordination with Credit Risk Managers
• Evaluate subordinates' performance and make recommendations for pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions
• Provide evaluative judgment based on information analysis in complicated and unique situations
• Oversee area end results, budget management and resource planning
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of experience in a related role
• Senior level experience in a related role and commensurate people management experience preferred
• Apply in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub function
• Basic commercial awareness and industry knowledge required
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
