This role supports the Motorcycle business with financial, accounting and business analysis.  Responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and providing analytical support. Works closely with Motorcycles Finance Director & Motorcycles VP Finance to deliver key financial and analytic deliverables in a timely fashion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares budgets, forecasts and long range planning financials for the Motorcycle businesses.
  • Proactively work with Business Managers to develop expense budgets and forecasts along with identifying savings efficiencies and spending process improvements.
  • Ensures accurate monthly financial results while providing operational analysis and variance explanations.
  • Analyze and monitor actual spending and monthly accruals including preparation of quarterly reserve analysis and associated supporting documentation.
  • Monitor product costs and margins; provide gross profit variance analytics.
  • Develop detailed financial models and associated financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Provide Business Managers with front end metrics and assumptions to develop accurate investment business cases.
  • Work with team to review and analyze any branding campaigns and ensure proper accounting treatment is followed for any assets purchased or maintained.
  • Perform accounting and metrics reporting weekly/monthly for Motorcycle division.
  • Train Business Managers on financials.
  • Maintains and documents Motorcycles financial processes and procedures.
  • Perform monthly close responsibilities, including applicable journal entries and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for Motorcycles division as assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 4-6 years experience in finance/accounting required.
  • Extensive experience in various (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Microsoft tools required. OneStream, PowerBI, and other query & data tools experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated success developing tools to improve financial analysis and financial system added value to the functional group.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in a matrix environment with multiple customers and evaluators.
  • Detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives at once.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Dynamic fast-paced team environment.

The pay range for Minnesota is $80,000 to $111,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
