About the Role

As a Compliance Specialist, you will focus on driving compliance, internal controls, and risk management within the finance function. It involves managing SOX/internal audit activities, SAP GRC access controls, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring strong governance and regulatory compliance. The position requires strong accounting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, along with expertise in ERP/SAP systems and internal control frameworks. Experience in multinational organizations, Big 4 firms, or Capability Centre environments is an added advantage.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare and maintain Risk Control Matrix, control documentations etc.
  • Periodic assessment and self-testing of controls and update process documentation.
  • Define internal controls for various processes, enforce & ensure compliance.
  • Advice on potential risks and provide mitigation during process changes.
  • Handle (initiate) SAP GRC access requests, handle incoming authorization requests (approve in the absence of the manager).
  • Act as a key liaison with internal auditors and external auditors, ensuring audit readiness, timely issue resolution, and minimal audit adjustments
  • Coordinate manual journal entry monthly review within all locations.
  • Manage local functional stakeholders as well as external professionals.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Ensure process improvements within compliance function and across other finance departments in Finance Capability Centre (FCC).
  • Support in Enterprise Risk Management
  • Promotion campaigns to enhance compliance awareness.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Strong accounting and audit knowledge
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4+ years of overall experience in compliance role
  • Excellent MS office suite skills (Excel, PPT, Word)
  • Prior experience of working in capability centers
  • Prior Experience in SOX/Internal Audit (knowledge about internal control systems)
  • ERP / SAP system knowledge
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills with stakeholders and other colleagues
  • Should be flexible to work independently as well as in collaborative manner
  • Strong analytical & Critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Innovative mindset and Strategic thinking

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification in accounting or auditing
  • Big 4 experience
  • Experience in the automotive or automotive supplier industry
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working in a multinational organization utilizing a Financial Shared Services model
  • Internal audit, External audit, ESG reporting experience.
