Responsibilities:

• Yield management, cost management, and front-end/back-end process management for semiconductor laser products (DFB lasers and electro-absorption modulator integrated lasers).
• Planning and driving projects for yield improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement of semiconductor laser products.
• Improving the characteristics of semiconductor laser products, process improvements, and defect analysis.

Expected Background:

• BSc, MSc, PhD degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related equivalent technical field.
• Bachelors and 6+ years of work experience, Masters and 4+ years of work experience. PhD. no relevant work experiences.

Expected Skill:

• Experience in the design and development of DFB lasers and electro-absorption modulator integrated lasers using InP-based materials, including expertise in performance evaluation, yield improvement, and cost reduction design, is desirable.
• Skills in database management and statistical analysis using software would be advantageous.
• Fluent Japanese speaker and business level English skill including managing and discussion in on-line meeting, email communications, and documentation in English.
