To manage and develop a grant delivery team in the provision of consultancy services to Granted’ s clients across a variety of industries. To ensure the team’s efficient preparation and delivery of high-quality grant applications with the aim of securing non-dilutive funding for our clients.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

  • Coordinate client project delivery within the team, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated in order meet client needs, and projects are delivered successfully (high quality, on time, on budget)
  • Deliver against KPIs for team performance and report on progress, identifying and managing any issues appropriately. Report on applicable commercial targets and dissemination of team targets.
  • Facilitate weekly scheduled team meetings, ensuring adherence to project management tools and the maintenance of an up-to-date action list to ensure effective delivery of client projects.
  • Line management of the team. Demonstrate leadership capabilities and proactively share knowledge and capability; mentor, inspire and support individuals to develop.
  • Drive continual improvement in capability through development of tools and methodology and training delivery. Identify training requirements within the team.
  • Undertake performance management review process for direct reports.
  • Contribute to recruitment and talent planning.
  • Manage resourcing in the cluster; update internal capacity planning tools on a weekly basis with progress updates, alerts and resourcing requirements.
  • Be aware of and follow policies and procedures, with particular attention to standards of customer/client service, health and safety, and equality and diversity.

Client:

  • Ensure the team develops and maintains positive and effective relationships with its clients, facilitating an effective two-way information flow with regular updates for clients and timely intervention on potential issues.
  • Own, maintain and nurture client relationships whilst delivering on projects.
  • Ensure client dissatisfaction/issues are escalated appropriately at the earliest opportunity to facilitate rapid resolution.
  • Provide input into the development process based on understanding of the client’s needs.

Value:

  • Assess and confirm the client's match to selected fund; ensure each of the cluster’s clients are informed as to the specific competition scope and eligibility criteria. 
  • Plan and execute multiple concurrent client projects, taking responsibility for more complex or ambiguous projects, delivering these on time and budget (i.e. time input)
  • Ensure the cluster understands and undertakes quality assurance activities, following Standard Operating Procedures, disseminating quality control activities.
  • Contribute to the company-wide improvement programme.

Education and Experience: Proven consultancy experience. Must be able to prove excellent critical thinking skills, ability to summarise complex information in a simple and clear way. An ability to research and be a quick learner is also essential.

Computer Skills: Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, Google Document Suits .

Certificates and Licenses: None

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervising team cluster with roles from associate consultant to senior consultant grants.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at desk.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
  • Independent travel requirement: 5-10%
