Johnson Controls is currently hiring for CNC Grinder Set Up/Operator for our 2nd shift team!  

What You Will Do 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Set-up, and operate one or more CNC grinders internal to Rotor Machining.

• Edits or writes parts program, manages tooling for giving work centers.

• Decisions may be required devising ways and means of solving related job problems with little direction

• Conduct first piece inspection and make any indicated corrections or adjustments to set up before proceeding with production.

• Make necessary adjustments during operation to achieve requisite tolerance or dimensions.

• Participate in data collection processes established for each machine tool.

• Maintain necessary time quality, quantity and other records. Perform inventory count of product made and

  assign grinding order/priority.

   

Job Requirements 

• Prior experience setting and operating a CNC Grinding Machine (1 year preferred)

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints

• Experience reading measurement tools (Ex: Calipers, micrometers)

• Knowledge in programming and setting specifications

• High school diploma or equivalent 

This role could potentially train on 1st shift between 6 to 8 weeks prior to moving to 2nd shift.
