Your role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Proposal Manager to help our Business Development team win new business. The Senior Proposal Manager owns and manages all aspects of the RFP/RFI process—including requirements review, strategy, scheduling, information gathering, writing, editing, and process improvement.

This is a great opportunity for an excellent writer, strategic thinker, and project manager with initiative, creativity, and good judgement.

Your job:

  • Lead and manage responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other requests for information.
  • Analyze customer requirements and work with sales to develop a strategy and win themes for each proposal.
  • Produce compliant, persuasive, and accurate proposals to win large and strategic accounts.
  • Write, edit, and proof technical and persuasive proposal content.
  • Work with subject matter experts and executives to research, write, and fact-check content.
  • Write and manage content for a proposal knowledge base.
  • Champion proposal best practices.
  • Review proposal processes and tools and implement improvements based on industry best practices.
  • Help triage and track customer requests and support cases assigned to the Customer Trust team.
  • Assist with additional marketing and sales support activities as required.
  • Work some evenings and weekends if required to meet deadlines.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in English, Journalism, Communications, or other related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of proposal development experience, including at least 4 years of experience as a proposal manager.
  • Work experience at a cloud tech company, SaaS preferred.
  • Knowledge of proposal best practices, APMP certification preferred.
  • Independent worker who can manage multiple projects without supervision.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Comfortable with both technical and persuasive writing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into polished and concise writing appropriate to the intended audience.
  • Ability to work with and influence all levels of staff—including executives and technical experts—without direct authority.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Ability to independently research and understand unfamiliar technical concepts.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours to meet deadlines.
  • Close attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
  • Strong judgement and ability to analyze and handle complex situations.
  • Even tempered and calm under pressure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a broad knowledge of Global Relay technology, services, operations, and business strategy.
  • Flexibility to take on new assignments and responsibilities as needed.

Compensation:
Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in accordance with the pay transparency laws of the province of British Columbia. In addition to the annual base salary (range listed below), compensation for this role also includes a corporate bonus, extended health benefits, and RRSP Matching, and (for applicable Sales roles) an enticing commission structure.

British Columbia - Base Salary Range:
$85,000$110,000 CAD
