Job Description Summary

The Combustion & Repair Materials Manager will provide material leadership for HGP Repair, Combustion, and Fuel Nozzle cells focused on the execution of wing to wing materials processes and continuous improvement. This role will partner closely with operations to execute on-time delivery objectives while implementing materials strategies to reduce inventory and improve material flow.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of materials personnel in materials planning, inventory, production control and procurement requirements, demonstrating strong integration with manufacturing operations teams and cross functional stakeholders
  • Ensures that standard materials processes and standard KPIs are used to provide the best delivery with the lowest inventory cost for the assigned area
  • Implement LEAN material practices and standards
  • Support the SIOP process: contribute to material procurement timing, order release timing requirements, available capacity, & lead-times
  • Lead capacity requirements planning (CRP) processes by gathering & loading information into planning tools, analyzing data, and providing regular updates
  • Ensure that the master schedule and production schedules are synchronized using ERP (PMx) and other tools.  Ensure that training and skills necessary to use planning tools are provided and tools are monitored for appropriate use.
  • Report and monitor COE materials related KPIs: inventory balance, inventory turns, on time to promise, on time to need, system health & usage, master data adherence.
  • Lead and monitor all the logistics activities such as incoming receipts, days to stock, inventory accuracy (cycle counts), and shortages
  • Demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Uses experience and expertise to solve problems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing & materials management experience.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $122,600.00 and $204,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
