About Linklaters

Linklaters is a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.

We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.

Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere.

We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias, because we want everyone to feel that they belong. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common mind-set.

We recognise that one size does not fit all. Our goal is to embed flexibility across our firm by giving everyone the opportunity to work in an agile way, whether as a regular pattern or on an ad hoc basis, and we will be happy to discuss this further.

Purpose

This role will support the London practice & sector BDM team. In conjunction with the Manager/Advisor, this role will provide support in relation to pitch opportunities and all other aspects of the marketing mix. This includes management of credentials, preparation and maintenance of targeted marketing collateral, provision of client overviews and relationship documents, supporting on directory submissions, execution of business plans, marketing campaigns and initiatives, and events (alongside the firm’s events team).

  • Project management – you will have solid project management skills, excellent time management and organisational skills. You will have experience of working on multiple jobs, working under pressure, often to tight deadlines and able to prioritise work.
  • Teamwork mentality – you will have an understanding that successful delivery of projects relies on a team.

Expectations of the role

  • Project management and drafting of legal directory submissions.
  • Oversee the pitch process from inception to delivery for standard proposals.
  • Support in raising the practice's profile both internally and externally in close partnership with the Marketing Communications team.
  • Assist in the orchestration, execution, and evaluation of events such as seminars, webinars, roundtables and conferences.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as necessary.

Best Practices, Quality, and Standards

  • Adhere to established work-flow processes, identify opportunities for enhancement, and advocate for the adoption of available tools and materials.
  • Ensure the highest standard of work is delivered to the practice.
  • Develop strong relationships with the practice, sector and CRM teams as well as other relevant business teams.
  • Proactively seek feedback to gauge the quality, consistency, and timeliness of your contributions and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement by tracking and reporting on trends, including the variety and volume of support provided to the practice.

Experience required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is essential. Law degree or marketing qualification would be beneficial.
  • Be fully proficient in the Microsoft Office package (Word, PowerPoint and Excel are especially important).
