Our location in Alameda, CA currently has an opportunity for a Senior Manager of User Experience Research. The primary function of this position is to lead the collection, analysis, and presentation of Design and Product user research relevant to Lingo’s current and future global product portfolio and strategies, An additional primary function of the position is to be a strong advocate for an analytically rigorous approach to strategic and tactical decision making for the division. As Lingo brings new and life-changing technologies to market, you will lead the team that brings insights about our members to life, inspiring true customer centricity across our team. 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and guide the development and execution of qualitative and quantitative Primary Market Research among relevant stakeholders 
  • Ensure the most sophisticated and appropriate methodologies are used to ensure that the business has the most comprehensive understanding of global customer needs and market trends  
  • Ensure the most appropriate and cost-effective methodologies are utilized across all Business Unit market research projects  
  • Establish a productive work environment by creating trust and respect within the team and stakeholders.  
  • Build related business case(s) to quantify impact of new opportunities within the business.  
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate and Division Purchasing, Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) and other applicable policies and procedures 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • 7+ years working in matrix environment with a track record of career growth 
  • 5+ years in market research, advanced analytics, or marketing or in a related healthcare industry 
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking practices 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product and design team decisions through a variety of innovative research approaches 
  • Commitment to understand and advocate for end-users through insight, collaboration and effective communication  
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate dynamic project scopes
  • Business fluency in English 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant, relevant experience in creative strategy and execution for digital products 
  • 5+ years of experience leading experienced UX researchers working on customer-facing digital products 
  • Human Factors experience  
  • Experience working with interdependent cross-functional teams 
  • Someone who approaches challenges with possibilities thinking and a learning mindset

The base pay for this position is

$125,700.00 – $251,500.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
