CommBank's Institutional Banking Client Services (IBCS) is looking for an Associate to join our operations team that partners with Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) to deliver Transaction Banking Services to Institutional Banking and Corporate clients.

This is done by responding to queries which include Corporate Card, Account Openings/Closings and Merchant work items, emails and calls and helping find transaction banking solutions for our valued clients. By providing timely service across these core banking products our IBCS team
provides critical risk management and controls, maintaining and enhancing clients and business partners assets and reputation.
 

Your Role. 

As an Associate in IBCS, you will be a first point of contact for our clients to manage their Transaction Banking queries and needs.

Our team provide support to clients across a full suite of Transaction Banking products including; Corporate Cards, Corporate Accounts, Transactional Accounts, Merchant Services and CommBiz and we're built to be a trusted support service to our valued Corporate or Institutional clients.

 

Our key focus is to serve our Institutional Banking (IB) Clients by answering their queries from the time they are early onboarding stage of their customer life cycle with the Group to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of their CBA experience. Throughout this lifecycle the team build strong and meaningful relationships by getting to know the clients, their needs, industry, and long-term strategies. 

This is a great role for those looking to expand their career into Corporate Operations team, based in our CommBank Head Office or deepen your knowledge across cards, payments, merchants or existing account based services experience.
 

On Any given day you will:

  • Review & respond to emails, calls and work item queries from our customers covering many products across Transaction Banking including Corporate Cards, Account and Merchant questions.

  • Form relationships with clients and relationship managers while helping our customers with account maintenance and transaction banking queries.

  • Utilise high attention to detail skills to understands how to mitigate risk or control issues 

  • Demonstrate judgment and problem solving by thinking ahead, anticipating questions, finds alternative solutions and identify clear objectives 

  • Communicates what is relevant and important in a clear and concise manner and shares information/new ideas with others 

  • Successfully handles multiple tasks, takes initiative to improve own performance, works intensely towards extremely challenging goals and persists in the face of obstacles or setback
     

We're interested in hearing from people who have 
Experience or exposure across Transaction Banking products like cards, accounts, payments or Merchants which can be found across many environments, some may include; Operations, Branch, Everyday Banking, Business Banking Contact Services, Merchants or Direct Banking environment and are looking to expand your career into the Institutional Banking Services team by providing premium service for our customers.

Other skills we look for: 

  • Experience working with Transactional Banking clients or products (such as Corporate Cards, merchant solutions, account maintenance). 

  • Relevant experience in Operations or processing roles or experience in Branch Banking or Business Banking Operations.

  • Business/Commerce or related degree is preferred
