The Opportunity:
 

CACI’s Agile Digital Solutions Group is seeking an SAP Finance Business Process Consultant to support the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) program. NCAPS is focused on consolidating application support and transforming IT capability delivery across the NASA enterprise, including general IT, customer support, information management, and mission support systems.

In this role, the consultant is responsible for facilitating the collection, definition, and documentation of client requirements, providing expert advice on finance process best practices, and performing business and system process analysis to identify and recommend improvements. The consultant will work closely with end-users, finance leadership, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into configured SAP Finance solutions aligned with SAP and public sector best practices.

As part of CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) organization, the consultant will maintain deep functional knowledge of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO), and contribute to implementation, enhancement, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities across the SAP landscape.

Responsibilities:
 

Client Requirements & Process Facilitation

  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements to collect, analyze, and define business and functional requirements.

  • Advise clients on finance process best practices and SAP standard capabilities.

  • Translate business needs into functional design specifications, workflows, and solution recommendations.

Business & Systems Process Analysis

  • Analyze existing financial business processes and supporting systems to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

  • Design and document optimized end-to-end finance processes leveraging SAP S/4HANA FI/CO.

  • Align business requirements with SAP standard functionality and public sector compliance needs.

Functional Design & Configuration (COTS Applications)

  • Configure SAP Finance modules including FI (GL, AP, AR, AA) and CO (CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing).

  • Design and support functional solutions such as reports, interfaces, reconciliations, workflows, and extensions.

  • Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, Basis) and other functional areas (MM, SD, PP) to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Provide support for government travel systems and financial reconciliation processes.

Stakeholder Communication & End-User Support

  • Interact and communicate effectively with end-users, management, IT personnel, and vendors.

  • Provide training, documentation, and functional guidance to business users.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to finance and program stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Support

  • Monitor SAP processes post-go-live and recommend enhancements or corrective actions.

  • Provide Level 2 incident support and functional troubleshooting.

  • Stay current on SAP innovations (S/4HANA, Fiori, analytics tools) and assess applicability to client needs


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Public Sector and SAP Public Sector experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent substitution)

  • Strong analytical skills with emphasis on data quality, integrity, and process optimization

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience conducting data profiling and analysis prior to data migration

  • Ability to obtain a NACI Public Trust clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300-$189,600
