Responsibilities: 

  • Own product areas and lead the test effort focused in storage, data path, file system & Cloud components. 
  • Work with the engineering team during the feature design and implementation phases to develop:
    • the test methodology (designing the test approach) to test the feature end-to-end.
    • test plans.
  • Collaborate with other testing members, developers, technical writers, and customer solutions engineers to ensure the company delivers high quality products to our customers.
  • Execute multiple iterations of the test plan by running manual and automated test cases.
  • Analyze failures and root cause issues, file defects, follow up with developers, documentation and other teams on the resolution.
  • Automate test cases.
  • Monitor and manage the continuous integration environment.
  • Mentor team members.

Requirements:

  • Prior work experience in testing enterprise storage products is a must.
  • Exceptional test planning ability with an understanding of enterprise storage workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more additional storage protocols like SMB, NFS, S3 iSCSI, CIFS..
  • Prior experience of programming, preferably in Pytest, Go, Python, bash
  • Good knowledge of storage stack, file system internals, and testing tools like fio, fsct, vdbench, dd, specFs, virtana etc.
  • Experience with distributed systems (databases, storage, map-reduce frameworks, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with testing “systems” products (storage, networking, virtualization, etc.)
  • Confirmed experience in any of the following areas: Data Protection, Filesystem, SaaS, Platform.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities spanning multiple software and hardware components (storage systems, kernels).
  • Possess a strong understanding of QA methodologies and processes with a high bar for quality of the product.
  • Ability to take up a variety of roles in a startup environment.
  • Creative, independent, self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies
  • Knowledge of ESXi, HyperV, KVM is a plus.
  • Bonus: Prior experience with Active Directory.

Qualification:

  • BS in Computer Science with 10 yr experience or MS in Computer Science with 8 yr experience
  • 6+ years experience with testing Enterprise storage systems.

Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
US Pay Range
$192,000$240,000 USD
