Occupational Therapist - PEDS/NICU - Per Diem - Days

As an Occupation Therapist at NYP, you will provide high-quality care as you communicate with physicians, referring providers, multidisciplinary staff and administrative personnel. We provide one-on-one therapies that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients.  The Occupational Therapist will provide high quality treatment programs to assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within their capabilities.

This is a per diem day shift position providing coverage on Friday's and Saturday's including rotating holiday coverage. This position is located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. 

Preferred Criteria:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • American Occupational Therapy Association Membership

  • National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

  • Previous Occupational Therapy experience

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy

  • New York State Occupational Therapy licensure within one year of hire or New York State Limited Permit (application must be submitted upon hire)

  • Knowledge of Occupational Therapy practices

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification required

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
