WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The objective of the Director of Concrete Engineering Services is to ensure that Cemstone products and services meet applicable industry standards, to promote an environment where Cemstone products and services are preferred throughout the marketplace and to position Cemstone products, personnel and customers on the cutting edge of advances in concrete technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Design and control mixes for ready mix plants.
  • Review job specifications for batching and production.  
  • Manage concrete and material testing and specification requirements.
  • Analyze test data for mix performance and revision.
  • Work on new product and mix development.
  • Review and manage DRP process.
  • Manage the day to day assignments of lab, field and plant technicians. Prepare the daily schedule and coordinate the reporting of data.
  • On a daily basis coordinate with materials, dispatch operations and other departments as necessary to plan technician and production scheduling.
  • With the assistance of the Plant Technician Supervisor maintain the records as required by MnDOT. Address all material failures to the specific vendor.
  • Ensure compliance with all WISDOT and IADOT quality requirements
  • Full implementation of CommandQC computerized program.
  • Implementation of the Aggregate QA/QC Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years in Quality Management in the concrete industry
