The main area of responsibility would be day-to day financial transactions in accounts payable for both wholesale and retail operations. This includes the AP cycle of accounting, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting as required, corporate credit card reconciliations, expense report processing and various other general accounting tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-

  • Receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices for wholesale and retail
  • Communicating with vendor accounts to resolve any accounts payable issues
  • Prepare settlement of accounts payable via credit card payments, EFT or wire, checks
  • Monthly allocation of bank fees & merchant credit card fees
  • Assistance to payroll department bi-weekly
  • Processing expense reports in Concur for wholesale and retail
  • Reconciling and settling monthly credit card statement
  • Assist in preparing documents and various sales reporting for managers and executives as required
  • Assistance in prepare monthly financial reporting schedules and annual financial statements and supporting schedules as required.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries (AP closure) and coordinate with departments for accuracy.
  • Responsible for all reconciliations at month-end, quarter-end and year end.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end information to internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
  • Scanning of monthly journal entries for internal and external audit
  • Filing as required
  • AP and AR backup activities when required.

Job Requirements-

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical agility
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines, occasional extra hours required for deadlines and reporting etc.
  • Self-motivated, results driven, prefers to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Must be proficient in Excel (PIVOT TABLE, VLOOKUP), Outlook etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Speaks fluent English

eDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • Diploma or degree in accounting or finance.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years strong accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft or Oracle financial or ERP.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining effective working relationships both internally and externally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay rate $35/hour
