In the Float Pool Unit Clerk position, you will work with diverse populations of patients in numerous units, departments and/or locations while learning from many of our best caregivers.
A caregiver in this position works Evening Shifts, 3pm – 11:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform receptionist and clerical duties.
Receive, greet, and direct patients, visitors, and caregivers.
Receive, place and transfer telephone calls and record, communicate and deliver messages.
Respond to service and information requests.
Remain calm and reassuring while providing directions during emergency situations, STAT requests, and orders.
Receive and distribute items for patients.
File reports and test results, maintain medical records, and prepare charts for medical records upon discharge.
Transcribe physician orders.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous clerical experience.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
