About the Role

As a hands on experience design intern at AIA you will be responsible for the production of design research, content design and UX/UI design assets that span across the core customer journeys of Buy, Service and Claim. These journeys span multiple digital touch points including responsive websites and mobile applications. Within the Design Experience team you will be working on both customer facing digital products as well as agent reseller digital portals and tools. The function that this role sits within will be supporting 18 different markets across Asia as well as the Group Design Experience CoE (Centre of excellence)

Roles and Responsibilities:

UX Design

  • In collaboration with Design Managers and Snr Managers, support and contribute to AIA’s digital transformation from a design experience perspective
  • Evolve and contribute to our best-in-class digital design system that defines AIA digital experience
  • Contribute to the quality of Design Experience solutions and adherence to Design System compliance
  • Design and build simple, easy, yet delightful digital experiences for customers and employees
  • On-time delivery of UX solutions that meets AIA Group standards
  • Collaborate with peers and cross functional teams to execute best-in-class Design based on requirements and project briefing that deliver on both customer and business outcomes
  • Advocate for the customer

Design Research

  • Establish an understanding of and collaborate with Design Researchers to select proper research methods to meet the research objective, for example, heuristic evaluation and end-user research, but also explore other appropriate research tools
  • Collaborate with Design Researchers to develop systematic research reporting structures for different audiences: Group stakeholders, local BU and management
  • Collaborate with other Researchers and Digital Platform Owners to develop optimization goals, collect corresponding data improvements and report
  • Collaborate with Design Researchers on the conduction of research or review and identify opportunities to improve tools for an agreed scope/KPI with PO team
  • Participate in recruitment activities for user research
     

Content Design

  • Based on the content strategy, and with the support of Content Design team members, work collaboratively with research and design teams to shape AIA’s digital experience with effective user-centric copy
  • Create clear and concise copy for apps, web applications, and websites. 
  • Follow AIA’s brand guidelines and tone of voice when creating copy
  • Work with Content Designers and recommend optimal content and its format at an early stage of projects to create seamless UX across all the customer facing channels
  • Review existing data and analytics, and existing copy and suggest alternative copies/content to improve existing UX

UX/UI

  • Consume/understand requirements and collaboratively manage the creation of UX/UI solutions for assigned projects
  • Production of key design artefacts ranging from initial sketches through to low fi digital wires, prototypes, high fi wires, user flows, IA maps etc.
  • Contribution to Group Digital Design System (component library with guidelines), and help maintain its component quality
  • Collaborate with design team members across individual BU’s across APAC to shape and deliver best-in class experiences
  • Work with local BUs to achieve project outcomes in a timely manner
  • Identify opportunities to improve experiences and work with Snr designers to secure support for optimisation efforts

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in related fields or equivalent experiences
  • Exposure to creating truly human centered, delightful customer experiences for end users
  • Good verbal and written presentation skills to communicate the ideas in a clear and concise manner to designers, researchers, writers, technologists, project managers and executives
