Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP, Sales will be responsible for defining and leading the strategic direction of the Commercial Zone Sales team including Merchant Success Managers, Messaging, Inside Sales, and Field Sales activities. Key priorities for this role include driving innovation and maximizing the effectiveness of the sales organization while building and maintaining strong working relationships with GMs, Sales Leaders, Key Clients, and cross-functional partners. A core focus of the role is to drive profitable sales growth in close collaboration with General Managers (GMs) ensuring alignment across strategy, execution and market responsiveness.

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop a sales strategy for all Messaging, Inside Sales, and Field Sales activities for the Commercial Zone team maximizing effectiveness to drive profitable growth
Drive profitable sales results through close collaboration with GMs, aligning field execution with strategic market and business goals
Articulate a clear vision and the aligned objectives. Ensure the team understands the objectives and are clear on their part of the mission to assist with effective development of the commercial zone strategy.
Encompass strong data-driven decision making capabilities – leverages data to predict trends, forecast future performance and build dynamic sales management approaches.
Develop methodologies to collect competitive intelligence, identify changes in market conditions, and identify opportunities to drive program performance.
Effectively motivate, coach, and develop a team of sales leaders with strong bias for action
Share strategic vision, goals and objectives, ensuring they are clearly communicated and cascaded across entire sales organization
Leverage segmentation strategies to diagnose field performance and build plans to address with leadership i.e. GMs, Sales Leaders, Key Client contacts etc.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with GMs, Sales Leaders, Key Clients, and cross-functional partners to identify new partner and industry opportunities
Leverage data and analytical insights to further optimize the commercial zone sales strategy
Provide regular sales performance updates to Senior Leadership, GMs, and Sales Leaders
Demonstrate sound judgement and effective decision making, maintain consistency in approach, exhibit strong commitment to goals, actively listen and respond with empathy to stakeholder concerns
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
