What will this role achieve?  

Reporting to the Impulse Shopper Marketing Manager, the individual will play a relevant role in the Shopper Marketing function for the pladis UK Business.

You will be responsible for ensuring that pladis brands achieve phenomenal standout in-store across the market, utilising physical merchandising equipment and completing point of sale material briefs.

You will work internally with Category, Marketing and Sales colleagues to ensure strong execution of 360-degree plans as well as externally with key retailers to develop and implement instore campaigns.

Working alongside the Impulse Senior Shopper Marketing Manager you will utilise insights and market data to pro-actively drive enhanced communications that deliver better customer experiences and stronger return on investment.

What will be your key deliverables?  

  • You will support and work alongside the Impulse Senior Shopper Marketing Manager in delivering the annual Shopper plans across the Impulse channel – from managed convenience through to high street and much more.

  • Take ownership of managed convenience channel. Work directly with the account managers to support with activation of pladis shopper marketing plans, unlocking new opportunities & driving great transparency of the pladis brands on-line and instore.

  • Take ownership of Managed Convenience channel to deliver impactful and engaging display solutions for depots. Land with excellence these displays working alongside category/customer team and supplier to ensure strong value and visibility for pladis brands. Work with our external artwork & display partners to ensure all jobs are completed and briefed accurately in line with brand and account guidelines, communicating key timescales and inputs, whilst effectively securing dedication to execution within agreed timeline.

  • Support the Impulse Senior Shopper Marketing Manager in day-to-day planning, implementation and briefing of shopper media across the Impulse channel

  • Ensuring that the shopper communications that are going out into market from these channels are approved by the appropriate parties where required. Head of Shopper, Impulse Senior Shopper Marketing Manager, Brand, Legal, Regulatory and Corporate.

  • Working alongside Impulse Senior Shopper Marketing Manager on budget management for Impulse Channel

  • Ad-hoc data and insights support to feed into Category, Brand and Commercial plans

  • Accurately recording Shopper Marketing investment POs on relevant trackers and shopper investment phasing sheet.

Bring your experience

Essential 

  • Degree or equivalent

  • Experience in other commercial functions a plus e.g. Sales, Category, Marketing

  • Understanding of full Shopper Journey touchpoints

  • Ability to conduct briefing and coordination of Shopper Marketing activity

  • Effective interpersonal skills, partner management and partnership skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task

  • Strong personal leadership skills

  • High level of attention to detail
