The Opportunity
As a Tax Consulting Customs & International Trade Intern, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will support teams in delivering tax services. You will have the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of indirect tax, customs regulations, and international taxation, gaining valuable insights and skills that will set the foundation for your career. As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will support teams, participate in projects, and conduct research while observing professional work environments. Responsibilities
- Supporting client teams in customs and international trade projects
- Conducting research and analysis on customs regulations and tariffs
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and compliance documentation
- Participating in tax dispute resolution processes and providing support during audits
- Collaborating with teams to develop tax models and corporate tax planning strategies
- Engaging in customs brokerage activities, including documentation and clearance processes
- Learning and applying international taxation principles and practices
- Analyzing tax accounting records and preparing tax documentation for clients
- Utilizing tax technology tools to enhance reporting and compliance processes
- Observing and contributing to indirect tax controversies and resolution strategies
- Gathering information to support business tax compliance and planning efforts
- Communicating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to facilitate project success
- Applying intellectual curiosity to explore innovative solutions in tax services
- Developing an understanding of customs valuation and its impact on trade operations
- Participating in team meetings and actively listening to feedback for continuous improvement
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school. Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school.

For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position.
