What You Will Do:
 

Illustrative responsibilities for the Data Analyst - Senior Consultant can include, but are not limited to:

  • Exercise a deep background in federal agency data management to support design and delivery of all planning materials that support the client’s data management practices

  • Draw on a deep background in federal agency program management office (PMO) work to support the planning and oversight of implementation work, and the advisory of senior clients

  • Work directly with team leadership and individual team members to drive the week-to-week operations of the team to support ongoing client demands

  • Synthesize client deliberations and feedback into actionable to-do’s, while tracking progress with the client and team leadership

  • Support team through the application of data management best practices and technical thought leadership

  • Prepare presentations that translate planning and delivery work into digestible client insights.  Design and present materials for both internal and client meetings

  • Facilitate the planning and migration of data into client’s new data lake, including the design and application of best practices around ETL’s, data quality standards, metadata requirements, etc

  • Understand, support, and drive the planning and documentation of business requirements into clear hand-off documents for the implementation vendor

  • Understand and support planning of data standards to ensure consistency and quality in client data sets

  • Interface with client leadership and support meetings with stakeholders and support their data-centric needs to drive towards future data governance solutions

  • Work hand-in-hand with client IT resources to plan data governance solutions

  • Work within cross-functional program teams to identify appropriate business solutions to client challenges

  • Collaborate with PMO to understand evolving agency modernization needs and develop possible solutions

  • Generate clear, actionable documentation that enables self-guided execution

  • Strong communication skills: ability to be well-organized, clear and concise in conversations and written communications

  • Experience in delivering quality work on time with multiple, competing priorities.

  • Other duties as assigned to meet new tasks as they arise


What You Will Need:

  • U.S. citizenship is required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to work overtime required on occasion

  • Generate clear, actionable documentation that enables self-guided execution

  • Maintain good working relationships with client stakeholders and staff to facilitate engagement services.

  • Exercise an educational background in data-centric fields such as analytics, data management, systems analysis, data processing and operations

  • Apply learnings from relevant professional certifications

  • Excellent problem-solving, communications and presentation skills

  • Strong customer focus with the ability to work with technical teams and business users

  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a project team

  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
