Summary:
As a Data Architect, you will define the data requirements and structure for the application. Your typical day will involve modeling and designing the application data structure, storage, and integration, ensuring that the data architecture aligns with business objectives and supports efficient data management practices. You will collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and provide innovative solutions to enhance data accessibility and usability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Understanding the data model of AS IS Architecture and TO BE Architecture
- Collaborative work with external teams and internal teams to come with common data model and design the application data structure, storage, and integration components.
- Lead the analysis, design, and build effort for all data storage and processing components being custom built or reused.
- Work with the integration architects and specialists to design the integration solution.
- Ensure that the data storage and processing designs fulfill the requirements, including data volume, frequency needs, and long-term data growth.
- Assist in determining the cross-application and cross-component data standards, data distribution standards, and tuning strategies.
- Work with the technology architects and application designers to understand the data conversion requirements fully and to design the conversion procedures and applications.
- Review the database deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and traceability to requirements and adherence to all quality management plans and standards.
- Ensure that the developers and data architecture specialist responsible for developing the database thoroughly understand the requirements and designs.
- Work with other architects to ensure that all components work together to meet objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements. Identify and communicate any cross-area or cross-release issues that may affect other areas of the project.
- Support the development and test teams with the creation of test data. Ensure test data conforms to data security requirements.
- Participate in quality management reviews.
- Ensure client data protection guidelines are followed for sensitive personal data in accordance to Accenture s Client Data Protection program.
- Work with customers and security architect to identify the access control and identity requirements for the application.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies and data ingestion protocols).
- Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts required.
- Good knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and related tools (Erwin or ER Studio or others) required.
- Ability to develop or revise the data architecture as new data requirements arise
- Ability to develop and manage all aspects of the data effort, including the plans, interdependencies, schedule, budget, tools, and required personnel for developing the database
