Job Summary

Provide compensation related support with regard to position descriptions, job evaluations, salary survey participation, salary administration and compensation analyses. Will provide assistance to Senior Compensation Analyst in the direct support of a specific business area with their compensation requests. This position will also assist with ensuring jobs are appropriately aligned for internal equity and external competitiveness.

Essential Functions

  • Assists with the analysis and evaluation of non-exempt and exempt jobs on request to determine appropriate grade, titling, and exemption status. Reviews evaluation request forms, job descriptions, organizational charts; examines internal equity issues; and assists with the market analysis to price jobs utilizing published market surveys. May make recommendations from survey analyses for potential grade and salary adjustments and effectively and accurately communicates results.
  • Audits data and may create reports in support of compensation processes (salary increases, bonus, job evaluation, etc.).
  • Ensures a job description exists for each job that accurately reflects responsibilities (essential functions). Ensures all job descriptions are maintained within the appropriate software.
  • Compiles compensation data for submission to local, regional, and national salary surveys, and the analysis of information to determine the organization's competitive position. Ensures that data analyzed is relevant, accurate and presented in a timely manner to determine national, regional and local market competitiveness and market trends as appropriate.
  • Assists in administering the annual pay program process by reviewing planning sheets submitted by management to ensure compliance with program guidelines within established timeline. Assists with the development of various analyses to ensure overall consistently across all departments and to ensure adherence to compensation philosophy.
  • Responds to requests for services, information, records, and data on a timely basis.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, finance or business administration or equivalent education and experience

Preferred

  • Experience in compensation program administration / analysis, human resources project management, or information reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of HRIS systems and multiple software packages, particularly Microsoft Excel (including charts, graphs, pivot tables, v-lookups and other advanced capabilities.)
  • Professional Compensation Officer, Certified (CPCO)
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) - HRCI Human Resource Certification Institute
