Our Insurance division is seeking a Team Leader to oversee our Recoveries team. This team plays a crucial role in managing our motor recovery claims whilst ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered to all parties.  

With a key focus on coaching and building a high performing team, this role will suit a proactive, achievement-oriented person. Your strength in managing people, engaging your team and importantly setting and achieving results is essential, as is your knowledge of Insurance, Claims and Recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving team engagement, motivation and recognition
  • Drive business outcomes by setting clear performance targets and ensuring consistent achievement of performance targets
  • Ensuring all claims are handled in line with RAC Insurance policies, procedures, authority limits and legislative requirements
  • Apply strategic negotiation and communication skills to maximise success
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members to support continuous improvement.
  • Analyse performance trends and data to identify opportunities for process enhancements and improved outcomes.
  • Undertake end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities to build and strengthen team capability.

  • Demonstrated frontline experience in customer service
  • Proven leadership in managing teams, with a focus on coaching, performance development, and driving results.
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and sound decision-making skills to assess complex situations
  • Ability to build and influence relationships with a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Demonstrates empathy, compassion, resilience, tactful discretion and confidentiality when dealing with employees or members
  • A strong commitment to member-centric service, ensuring recovery efforts align with organisational values and deliver value back to members.
