Structural Analysis Engineer - Aircraft Systems

Boeing Poland is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer - Aircraft Systems to join our team in Rzeszow, Poland.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis of aircraft systems. Structural analysis includes calculation of loads, static and fatigue analyses.

  • Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations.

  • Generate documentation (stress check notes) to report analysis results to support certification and qualification processes.

  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Develop repairs for Aircraft Systems elements.

  • Work with regulatory framework (FAA) for warranting safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Represent the engineering community in the build through post production environment.

  • Technical rigor and focus on excellence.

  • Plan, perform and lead detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance).

  • Develop new materials, methods, tools, and designs to support future programs.

  • Lead a team of stress analysts and provide coaching across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 9+ years work experience in structural analysis engineering.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).

  • Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, free-body diagrams, load path, structural loads, joints and structural analysis methods.

  • Strong knowledge of strength of materials (hand calculation, analytical methods) approach.

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft design philosophy.

  • Experience in structural analysis of metallic or composite structures.

  • Experience in static and fatigue analyses.

  • Solid communicator, Upper-intermediate level or higher in both written and verbal English.

  • Readiness to work with multi-functional team in a flexible schedule (weekends/holidays support, overtime, shifted work schedule) to meet the business needs.

  • Readiness for business trips – up to 25% of working time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in static, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses.

  • Proven experience in structures engineering.

  • Experience in leading a team of stress analysts.

  • Knowledge of Boeing aircraft structures.

  • Knowledge of finite element method approach.

  • Experience in FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 25 & 26).

  • Experience in CAD/CAE systems (Catia, Nastran/ Patran).
