Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for leading software test automation design, scripting, and execution for the MQTT protocol on products developed with C#, .NET/.NET Core. Essential experience in C#, .NET/.NET Core and Testing using the .NET framework is required. This role will drive quality assurance improvements by exploring new technologies, using modern test tools to boost test efficiency and effectiveness, and continuously expanding test automation coverage.

As a SW Test Manager in Software Testing, you will lead and manage multiple quality assurance teams within a healthcare stream. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by overseeing test plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and implementing effective testing methodologies

Duties and Responsibilities

• 8+ years in software testing, with healthcare domain experience; expert proficiency in C# and .NET/.NET Core (7+ years)
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using C# (.NET/NET Core) with NUnit/MSTest/xUnit
• Build and maintain automated test pipelines using Azure DevOps CI/CD integration
• Functional, integration, and system-level testing of MQTT protocol implementations across brokers (Mosquitto, HiveMQ, EMQX); validate MQTT flows (publish/subscribe, QoS, retained messages, LWT)
• REST API testing and validation of backend services interacting with MQTT brokers
• Analyze broker and application logs to debug and identify root causes of failures
• Evaluate end-to-end system testing scenarios as part of the product workflow
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and summary reports for stakeholder visibility
• Manage test code in repository; version control, code reviews, and multiple test code versions
• Lead, mentor, and manage QA Leads and engineers; set expectations and guide professional growth
• Complete ownership of testing deliverables, quality, and timelines; own test plans, strategy, and roadmaps
• Oversee testing deliverables to ensure high quality within deadlines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, DevOps) and communicate testing progress and risks
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; liaison between engineering teams and management
• Identify test coverage gaps; continuously improve testing strategies and frameworks
• Resource planning, budgeting, staffing decisions, and performance management
• Stay updated on emerging testing trends, tools, and best practices
• Domain-specific compliance: working experience with ISO 13485 (Medical Device Design Controls) and SDLC knowledge (IEC 62304)

Skill Set

• 8+ yrs. Experience in test automation using C#/.Net
• Strong programming skills in C#
• Solid experience with .NET / .NET Core
• Hands-on experience testing MQTT protocol
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines
• Very good experience in automation frameworks (NUnit / MSTest / xUnit)
• REST API testing, Git version control, CI/CD concepts
• Experience with message brokers (Mosquitto, HiveMQ, EMQX, etc.)
• Strong debugging and log analysis skills
• Passionate about evaluating different System Testing scenarios as part of product workflow
• Must have good communication and interfacing skills with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software testing, and quality assurance.
• Proven experience in developing and using test automation framework is essential.
