About the Role
Bluestaq is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead multi-team technical initiatives, influence architecture across product lines, and drive significant improvements in systems, engineering practices, and team capability. You'll operate at the intersection of technical leadership and organizational impact, harmonizing engineering patterns and shaping how Bluestaq builds mission-critical software at scale in support of national security and defense missions.

Senior Staff Software Engineers are the connective tissue across engineering at Bluestaq. You don't just own a system—you influence how multiple teams build their systems. The platform improvements you drive, the standards you establish, and the coaching you provide to Staff and Senior engineers produce compounding effects on delivery speed and quality across the organization. Your decisions directly affect the reliability, security, and scalability of the software Bluestaq's customers and mission partners depend on.

Clearance Requirement: This position may require the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for a security clearance, U.S. citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check. Eligibility for a TS/SCI Clearance will be assessed as part of the onboarding process or based on programmatic needs.
