Retail Banking Services supports more than 10 million personal and small business customers with market-leading products, services and digital experiences. In this role, you will lead the compliance and scheme readiness agenda for the ATM network, helping ensure services operate safely, reliably and in line with regulatory, scheme and internal policy obligations.
You’ll translate regulatory and scheme change into practical action, strengthen governance and assurance, and help protect continuity of cash withdrawals and deposits for customers and communities.

  • Leading the ATM compliance and scheme readiness strategy in line with enterprise risk, regulatory and customer priorities.
  • Driving readiness for scheme changes, audits, regulatory reviews and internal risk reviews.
  • Establishing and uplifting governance frameworks, controls and assurance processes across ATM operations.
  • Partnering across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Operations and external parties to interpret change and embed requirements effectively.
  • Monitoring incidents, breaches, control gaps and customer complaints to identify root causes and deliver sustainable remediation.
  • Providing clear, transparent compliance reporting and influencing senior stakeholders to balance compliance, customer outcomes, operational efficiency and resilience.

Bring deep regulatory and scheme compliance expertise, paired with the judgement to turn complex obligations into practical, well-governed outcomes.   • Have substantial experience in regulatory compliance, operational risk, control frameworks and audit or assurance readiness.
  • Can interpret regulatory, scheme or policy change and convert it into clear execution plans and operating routines.
  • Bring strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across business, risk, legal, technology and operations teams.
  • Use sound judgement, critical thinking and data-led insight to assess risk, prioritise action and improve outcomes.
  • Have experience leading through change in complex, regulated environments where customer continuity and operational resilience matter.
