Job Description:

What You’ll Do

  • As a Principal Fraud Specialist Consultant, you will be at the forefront of protecting the integrity and security of financial transactions. Your role leading efforts in analyzing fraud incidents and working towards mitigation of fraudulent activities within the payment ecosystem. You will work closely with various teams and stakeholders both internally and externally.


How You’ll Do It

  • Lead efforts to support delivery of strategic business objectives.

  • Manage implementation of fraud products and programs.

  • Develop and oversee consultation and training services related to fraud incidents, programs, products, or trends for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collect, build, and manage storage of artifacts associated with work.

  • Write and oversee construction of technical documents associated to training, incidents, and others as required.

  • Manage process and assignments associated to alerts from fraud detection systems.

  • Utilization of fraud detection tools and technology.

  • Support identification of emerging threats, fraud prevention tactics, and training methods.

  • Supports process improvement initiatives and remediation of audit findings.

  • Manages the setup, configuration, and updates of customer portfolios in fraud applications. Tests user interfaces for functionality after system enhancements have been implemented. Ensures updates do not impact on the customer experience.

  • Coordinates with other departments such as Products to manage team project workflow. Acts as subject matter expert on lean processes.

  • Stay updated and current with regulatory requirements.

  • Represent Discover at industry events.

  • Support leadership functions as designated.


Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, Management Information Systems, or related.

  • 6+ years of experience in Customer Service, Payment Services, Fraud, Banking, Finance, Project Management or related

  • In Lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in Customer Service, Payment Services, Fraud, Banking, Finance, Project Management or related

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, Management Information Systems, or related.

    · Certified Financial Crimes Investigator (CFCI)

    · Advanced application and use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint).

    . Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

    . Experience with SnowFlake or SQL program language.

  • Fore technical roles with Dreyfus requirements: External applicants will be required to perform a technical interview.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
