We are hiring a Drum Truck Driver. This position is perfect for personable, hard-working individuals who enjoy physical outdoor work! In this role, you will operate out of our Hamilton location, and your route will take you to downtown Toronto and GTA restaurants and groceries stores to pick up used grease. Other tasks could be picking up organics and fat & bones to be recycled/reclaimed in our plant.
We offer:
Permanent/full-time position, 42.5 hours/week;
Starting wage of $31.24; after probation period $32.74/hour;
Overtime paid daily;
Local driving all of Southern Ontario;
No cross-border work;

Schedule :
Monday to Friday (with some Saturdays);
5 days of 8.5 hours;
Shifts start between 2am - 5am; with possibility of 10-14 hours/day.
Responsibilities :
Collect and handle raw materials recovered and processed by the company (barrels of grease and restaurant oils, organics, meat);
Bring the drums of material from the restaurant/store location to the truck using a dolly.
Load the drums of residual material into the Drum truck (400lbs) using a “tail gate”;
Operate various equipment including the drum truck, vacuum truck, bucket trailers and dump trailers to collect and/or dispose of material;
As needed, perform various other tasks (e.g. cleaning and/or handling and/or painting of various equipment).
Requirements:
A clear AZ driver’s abstract is required;
Comfortable to do physical labour;
Comfortable to do drum and trap work;
Drum Truck, Vacuum Truck, Tanker, B-Train and Hydraulic Dump experience would be an asset;
Must be flexible to work during day and night shift.
