We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) team as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst. In this role, you will provide end to end support for the Rebuild and SSO business from understanding the requirements, gathering and organizing data to building a dashboard enabling data-driven decision making.
What you’ll do:
Seek information about the real, underlying needs of their customers, beyond those expressed initially, and match those needs to available (or customized) products or services.
Use Tableau and Power BI to create solutions.
Use SQL to query data in Snowflake.
Utilize python libraries to automate repetitive tasks and build pipelines to process and manage data from various sources. Manage multiple projects for internal customers simultaneously.
Clearly communicate and document project progress, roadblocks, and anticipated timelines.
What you’ll bring:
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and a focused ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Business Data Analysis: Extensive knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis and the ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
Top candidates will also bring:
Master's degree
Understanding of and experience using SQL
Experience using either Tableau or Power BI
Experience using Python and Snowflake
Deep understanding of Caterpillar data, specifically in regard to Rebuilds, SSO, and other key metrics, including PORO
Deep understanding of Caterpillar's aftermarket business and existing relationships with key business partners
Experience with machine learning
Expertise in data visualization aesthetics
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Willing to work in a highly collaborative environment
Able to provide technical coaching to less experienced teammates
English language fluency is required
Additional Details:
Location: Dallas, TX
Hybrid workweek (minimum 3 days per week in office). Infrequent travel required (less than 10% of working time); may include international locations.
