Position Summary

The Washington University School of Medicine Operations & Facilities Management Department provides a range of services for the medical campus in a customer-focused, efficient, and sustainable manner.

Operations & Facilities Management maintains 61 university buildings and provides operational, planning, and construction services to over 8.3 million gross square feet of space. We will open three new facilities between 2023 and 2025 with over 1.5M BGSF. In addition, the School of Medicine continues expanding its reach on and off campus in teaching, clinical care, and research. Our team plays a vital and important role in delivering clinical care, research, and education.

The Facilities Engineering Contracted Services Project Coordinator will assist with the development, coordination, and planning of repair and renewal projects for a 61-building, 178-acre campus with 8.3 million building gross square feet of mixed-use space focused on education, research, and clinical services delivery at the Washington University School of Medicine(WUSM). This position is part of the Operations and Facilities Management Department (OFMD).

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists with project development and the coordination of project schedules, resources, materials, and equipment.
  • Responsible for the effective and efficient maintenance of project documentation, proposals, plans, and reports.
  • Provides ideas for management and operational improvement in order to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to end-user satisfaction.
  • May have budgetary/financial oversight of projects.
  • Serves as a direct point of contact for contractors working on campus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Highly self-directed and independent worker.
  • General knowledge construction industry.
  • Experience with commercial project coordination, renewal, repairs, and renovations.
  • MS Office capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • A person who is customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills both verbally and in written forms.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree in related field and three years of related experience or equivalent education/experience to equal seven years.

Salary Range

$49,700.00 - $82,100.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
