What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 680 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Design, develop, and maintain software for the targeting and reporting data pipelines in Spark, Hadoop, Scala and Python. Develop complex software features to streamline and scale batch jobs to support advertising propensity models. Build software components in Scala to load large volumes of data into SQL database and Solr search platform. Implement extensible framework for integrating with external ad serving platforms for import of statistical and impression log data. Set up ETL jobs in Jenkins to move large volumes of distributed data from various sources to secondary data centers for business continuity and disaster recovery. Maintain automated software test suites for all new software features and enhancements. Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium size projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.

Skills required: Experience in delivering highly scalable and reliable production ready code. Experience with designing, developing, and operating code across multiple production systems. Experience working with Spark or Hadoop and large-scale Analytics systems that are capable of ingesting, managing, storing and analyzing hundreds of terabytes of data. Experience with RDBMS including MySQL and No-SQL databases Hive and Cassandra. Experience with programming languages including Java. The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
