Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide advice to internal customers (functions or businesses) in various Treasury areas. Each day, you will identify and suggest process improvement opportunities to minimize and reduce risks. You will also showcase your expertise by implementing appropriate financial instruments and transactions required to manage the risk.

We are strengthening the Global Trade Finance Development Center (TFDC) as Center of Expertise (CoE) for Export & Trade Finance processes in Kraków. We are looking for talented and self -driven candidates who would like to contribute to this event and be part of this great undertaking.

This role is contributing to the Trade Finance Delivery Center in APAC or EMEA region. Main stakeholders are banks and internal ABB project managers from various businesses.


You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Being part of the operational team in the area of Export and Trade Finance
  • Processing trade finance instruments such as guarantees and counter‑guarantees in line with internal procedures and bank requirements
  • Supporting local business units with day‑to‑day operational activities and inquiries
  • Liaising with ABB core banks on routine operational matters and documentation follow‑ups
  • Acting as a contact point for banks on assigned process‑related topics, escalating issues when needed
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational issues and proposing improvements
  • Participating in treasury‑related projects as a project team member, supporting agreed tasks and deliverables

Qualifications for the role

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in Treasury, especially administration and handling of Trade Finance instruments
  • University degree in Finance, Banking, Treasury Management, Economics, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of Trade Finance instruments; knowledge of URDG and UCP is considered an advantage
  • Proficient user of MS Excel and standard Windows applications
  • Strong communication skills with experience in daily cooperation with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. banks, business units)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken
  • Valid work permit / visa allowing employment in Poland;
  • Additional languages: Chinese, German, Turkish are considered as an asset
